Fairfax Boys and Girls Clubs begins change4change partnerships

Fairfax, Virginia, August 12th 2011---We are proud to announce the partnership between the Fairfax Branches of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and the Global Children's Foundation through Bestway Supermarket.  The total of a $6,000 contribution will be presented in the month of August 2011 at various club locations.

The Fairfax Boys and Girls Club will be partnering with Bestway Supermarket for the fundraising campaign, change4change.  This campaign, change4change, will provide an opportunity for the community and customers to donate their spare change for a good cause.  The collected change4change funds will sponsor the positive character program called Character Credits. Character Credits are given to children who demonstrate positive choices versus negative ones. They provide club children and youth with access to fun and educational activities at summer camps and after-school programs.  Change banks will be placed on the counters of six Bestway Supermarkets located in the Greater Washington Area.  This is a combined effort with the Global Children's Foundation and their leaderships.

The Global Children Foundation Mission flows out of the innate love of parents for their children. Every parent wants his/her children to be fed and taught; from their fundamental love springs love and caring for children everywhere across the world. They strive to do all they can to help children of the world whose daily needs for food, housing, and education are unmet.

The Boys & Girls Clubs, Fairfax County, is committed to helping boys and girls of all backgrounds, with an emphasis on the youth who need us most, building confidence, developing character, and acquiring the skills needed to become productive, civic minded, responsible adults.  They are committed to providing a fun, safe, positive place for kids. Through these partnerships, our local youth who needs the supports the most, will be served and benefited.
